Rachelle Zalter is a writer/director drawn to complicated relationships and psychological horror that dissects human behavior. Drawing on her background in Counselling Psychology, Rachelle is fascinated by the psychology of obsession, hidden fears, and contradiction.
Rachelle is currently writing and directing Jack Goes to Therapy for Bell Fibe TV1 (parent company produced Heated Rivalry), a comedy series about a heartbroken gay kindergarten teacher returning to his small hometown. She wrote and directed her debut feature, the romantic comedy Noli & Owen Are Fine, in which two lifelong best friends play dysfunctional matchmaker for each other to avoid a childhood marriage pact. Her short film Performance Review screened at Dances With Films and the Anchorage International Film Festival.
